Nevertheless, it is not trivial for PHP to handle the contents of one of the file types you have mentioned, I think the only way to compare two/three different file formats is to convert one of the files into the same format of the other and compare the result against the other. But in my opinion the comparsion results will be questionable.
What are the parameters, which will be taken to perform a comparsion? "Simple" content check? Format of the media (alignment of data, "css"-checks)?
I guess this is a good subject for master or bachelor dissertation (if not someone else already figured it out).

Do you mean you want to compare two Excel files, or two PDF documents or two DOCX files, or compare two files with different formats?
I have never seem a package that can do either. It seems to not be trivial.
